EASTER

“HAPPY EASTER,” we say. Then we trot out the baskets and the eggs and the bunnies, and the new clothes. A few days later, we pack it all up, except for the new clothes maybe, but it’s amazing how quickly new clothes become old clothes. Another Easter come and gone.

Easter is not an anniversary, it is not a remembrance or celebration of a miraculous event that took place thousands of years ago. NO. Easter is an awakening or reawakening to the deepest truth, “Christ is alive in you.”

The words of Jesus echo throughout the truth of Easter, “I and the Father are One,” He said. There is no separation between you and the Source of Love. There is no separation between and the Source of Wisdom, Grace, Peace, and Light. NO SEPARATION. NONE.

Every time you choose love over fear, kindness over gossip, peace instead of anger, gratitude over complaining, politeness instead of grouchiness, compassion over judgment. That is the power of Christ within you that is the risen the awakened power of God within you.

Easter is the reminder of the choice we have every moment of everyday. To live out of our little cramped, fearful egos, or to live out the unlimited consciousness of Christ.
