I AM FREE “The birds of the air have their nests; the foxes have their dens, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.”
Was He whining or complaining? I don’t think so.
When there is nowhere to go; when there is no place to call home, then everything is free and available. There are no attachments, nothing tying me down, and I am free. It is such a paradoxical place—to love and to care because I can only truly love and care when I am not attached, when I am not clinging, when I am not trying or even desiring to control.

Far from complaining, I think Jesus was saying, “Look, I am free. I can love you unconditionally, there are no attachments in the way.”
For Christ In Training, be aware of who and what you love, and through the wisdom of grace, determine how you can allow that love to become more whole and more pure. |
