SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder
Seasonal Affective Disorder, appropriately known as SAD. I guess it’s been around for awhile, we just now decided to put a label on it. So most of us human beings who live in areas of the world that have all the seasons are now preparing for a SAD time. Now I feel that way too, I miss walking around in shorts and Birkenstocks. I miss the sun and even the heat. I miss the convenience of it all.
Winter means it's cold and dark and sometimes rainy and snowy and I have to put on a lot of clothes, and when I pack to go someplace (that is also winter) I have to pack stuff that takes up twice as much room.

writing the above I noticed how bogged down I was getting. I was right for sure, but where was that getting me. I was like someone on line at a Complaint Department just thinking of the most perfect and excellent complaint ever.
Notice how subtle the ego is in gaining control of our thoughts. There is a truth to SAD and all the other upsetting depressing things in life, but Christ In Training wants to recognize, all these things are not who you are.
We do not deny or repress feelings about life’s disappointments, but at the same time we open ourselves to a “power greater than ourselves” which carries with it all strength all love all wisdom and all consolation.
